Armadillo Series Mandolin
Chinese body and neck. I reworked & customized the neck, top &
back, and peghead. I used my own graduations and upgraded the
tone bars using red spruce. Also, I added a Virzi tone enhancer. It
has a 22 fret, ivoroid bound, ebony compound radius fret board with
large frets. The fretboard has 3mm mop position dots and 2mm black
mop side dots. I also bound the peghead and body. I am using
Grover tuners and an ebony bridge, plus it will have a matching
curly maple bound pickguard and McClung armrest (but of course).
The Hill Country Stringworks inlay is on the peghead (flamed curly
maple overlay) plus a MOP armadillo on the back.
